Hasaacas Ladies continued their impressive start to the 2026/27 GoldFields Women’s Premier League following their victory over Epiphany Warriors.
Hasaacas came from a goal down to claim all three points at the Madina Astro Turf, securing a 2-1 victory over the Katamanso-based side.
Epiphany came into the fixture looking for their first win of the season after picking up two draws in their opening two games in league.
Hasaacas, on the other hand, are breaming with confidence following back-to-back wins over Army Ladies and Jonina Ladies in the first two games of the campaign.
Making her first appearance following her involvement in the 2026 U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, Jessica Appiah Asamoah opened the scoring for Epiphany after just two minutes. The winger burst forward on the right flank, setting up a one-on-one situation with Grace Banwaa before putting the ball past the goalkeeper.
Epiphany took control of the game and continued possession but failed to add to their lead.
Seventeen minutes after taking the lead, the home side conceded a penalty which was converted by Belinda Kpoglo to draw the Hasmal Ladies level.
Hasaacas grew into the game and for a brief moment had the upper hand over Epiphany and was rewarded for it when Comfort Owusu was fouled in the opposition’s box.
Kpoglo stepped up once again to hand the Takoradi-based side the lead in the 31st minute.
Despite their spirited attempts, Epiphany were unable to get back on level terms and were handed their first defeat of the season.
The victory means Hasaacas have won all of their three games this season, staying on level terms with Police Ladies, who also came from a goal down to beat newly promoted Roots Sistaz.
