Hearts of Oak coach Nebojsa Kapor believes improving his players' awareness and mentality will be crucial as they seek to respond to their defeat to Debibi United when they host Heart of Lions on Sunday.
The Phobians suffered a 1-0 loss at Debibi Presby Park last weekend, bringing an end to their three-match winning run and raising questions about their ability to maintain consistency in the Ghana Premier League.
Kapor says the team is taking a step-by-step approach to addressing its shortcomings, with video analysis and training exercises forming part of the process.
"I'm really sure that psychologically and on the mentality side, we have to go step by step. The first thing is to create a good and perfect [environment], because you know, in football, many things are very sensitive, and sometimes people are offended if you are attacking them or if you are trying to explain what is going on.
"But analysis is the first step and the most important step when we are trying to present, through video sessions, something where we made mistakes and how the situation should be on the [pitch]. Awareness is the first step.
"So this awareness, I'm sure we will bring, and with a good, strong and positive mentality, we will face the next game," he added.
Hearts are third in the standings, one point behind Medeama, and will be eager to maintain their title challenge against a Heart of Lions side that beat Bechem United 2-1 last weekend.
