According to a report by the Evening Standard on Saturday, November 7, 2026, Martin Odegaard produced an outstanding performance to inspire Arsenal to a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Hull City at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners struggled to break down their stubborn opponents for much of the encounter, with Hull maintaining a disciplined defensive shape that frustrated Mikel Arteta's side for more than 70 minutes. However, Arsenal captain Odegaard eventually made the difference by reacting quickest to a rebound after Noni Madueke's effort was saved by the goalkeeper.
The victory extended Arsenal's lead at the top of the Premier League table to six points, although their overall performance left room for improvement.
Odegaard was Arsenal's highest-rated starter, receiving 8/10 for his influential display. The Norwegian created opportunities for his teammates, controlled important moments in midfield and delivered the decisive goal. His movement, passing and leadership proved particularly valuable against a difficult Hull defence.
Madueke received 7/10 after causing problems down the right flank with his pace, crosses and attacking movement. He played a significant role in the winning goal but could not add another after missing an opportunity to beat the goalkeeper.
Bruno Guimaraes also earned 7/10 for his composed performance in midfield, where he combined effectively with Odegaard and helped Arsenal maintain control.
Jurrien Timber and Ezri Konsa were similarly awarded 7/10. Timber contributed energetically to Arsenal's attacking play, while Konsa produced important defensive interventions, including a crucial block to deny Mohamed Cho.
David Raya, Gabriel, Riccardo Calafiori and Declan Rice each received 6/10. Raya faced a demanding afternoon, while Gabriel and Calafiori had a few uncertain moments. Rice struggled to impose his usual influence before being substituted.
Christos Tzolis was rated 5/10 after failing to convert promising opportunities, while Kai Havertz received the lowest starting player rating of 4/10 following an ineffective attacking display and a missed clear chance.
Among the substitutes, Viktor Gyokeres impressed with a 7/10 rating after replacing Havertz. Piero Hincapie also received 7/10 for his defensive contribution, while Mikel Merino and Eberechi Eze were awarded 6/10 each.
