Veteran sports broadcaster Lovin Cee has urged the Board of Directors of Asante Kotoko to consider appointing former head coach Maxwell Konadu as interim manager until the end of the ongoing football season.
According to a report by Kessben TV on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Lovin Cee made the recommendation while speaking on Kessben Sports, where he discussed the technical direction of the Kumasi-based club.
The broadcaster believes Kotoko should consider recruiting a local coach who understands Ghanaian football rather than rushing into another coaching appointment. He specifically identified Maxwell Konadu as a candidate who could take responsibility for the team during the remainder of the campaign.
Konadu previously managed Asante Kotoko and is familiar with the club's environment, expectations and demands. His experience with the Porcupine Warriors is one of the reasons Lovin Cee believes he could be considered for the temporary position.
According to the broadcaster, bringing Konadu back on an interim basis could provide the team with some stability while the club's management evaluates its long-term coaching arrangements.
The recommendation comes amid discussions about Kotoko's technical leadership, with supporters and football followers expecting the club's decision-makers to take steps towards improving the team's consistency and performances.
Lovin Cee's comments have also renewed attention on the opportunities available to Ghanaian coaches at major domestic clubs. His position reflects the argument that experienced local managers should be considered when important coaching vacancies arise.
However, the proposal remains a personal recommendation and does not represent an official decision by the club.
The Asante Kotoko Board of Directors will ultimately determine the team's technical direction and whether Maxwell Konadu will be considered for the interim role.
For now, attention remains on the club's management and the steps it will take to guide the Porcupine Warriors through the remainder of the season.
