Real Madrid youngster keeps the door open to January exit amid lack of minutes

Real Madrid forward Endrick has not ruled out leaving the Santiago Bernabeu during the January transfer window as he continues to seek more regular playing opportunities. The Brazilian youngster is reportedly considering a temporary move if his situation does not improve, with Italian clubs AS Roma and AC Milan emerging as potential destinations.

According to Madrid Universal on Friday, October 30, 2026, the 20-year-old remains undecided about his future but is open to exploring a loan arrangement in the winter. Both Serie A sides are understood to have shown interest as they assess the possibility of strengthening their attacking options.

Endrick’s involvement at Real Madrid has been limited this season, partly because a pre-season injury prevented him from featuring in the club’s opening matches. Competition for places in the forward line has further restricted his chances of establishing himself in the team.

He has accumulated only 107 minutes across four appearances in all competitions this term, a situation that has reportedly prompted him to consider whether a temporary departure could provide the regular football needed to continue his development.

However, the Brazilian is not prepared to make an immediate decision. Reports indicate that he wants to explore every available opportunity to secure a more significant role at Madrid before considering an exit. His recent conversations with head coach Jose Mourinho are also believed to be relevant to his thinking.

Mourinho is reportedly keen to retain the young striker and has made his admiration for him clear. The Portuguese manager previously described Endrick as a player he absolutely adores, highlighting his considerable potential and expressing the belief that a loan move is unnecessary for him to succeed.

AS Roma came close to securing Endrick’s services during the previous summer transfer window, but the proposed move failed after Mourinho intervened. AC Milan have since entered the picture and are also reportedly examining the possibility of bringing him in on loan when the winter market opens.

The coming weeks could be important in determining whether Endrick remains in Madrid or pursues a temporary switch elsewhere. Real Madrid have ten fixtures scheduled before the mid-season break, consisting of seven La Liga matches and three Champions League encounters.

Those games could provide the striker with further opportunities to convince Mourinho that he deserves greater involvement. His performances and playing time during that period may ultimately influence whether he stays or considers a January move.
