Chelsea have reportedly joined the clubs monitoring Palmeiras striker Vitor Roque, with the Brazilian forward attracting attention ahead of the January transfer window.
According to a report by FootballTransfers on Saturday, November 7, 2026, the 21-year-old is being followed by several European sides after rebuilding his career in Brazil following a difficult spell in Spain. Everton are also considering a move, while Manchester United and Tottenham are tracking his situation.
Roque’s European career began with Barcelona, who signed him from Athletico Paranaense in early 2024 for a reported €30 million. However, he struggled to establish himself in the first team and secure regular opportunities. A loan spell at Real Betis also failed to deliver the progress Barcelona wanted.
The Catalan club eventually sold him to Palmeiras in February 2025 for €25.5 million, retaining a 20 per cent sell-on clause. Returning to Brazil gave Roque an opportunity to revive his form. He scored 20 goals in 2025, helping Palmeiras finish second behind Flamengo in both the Brazilian Serie A and the Copa Libertadores.
His output has declined this year, with injuries limiting his involvement. Across 40 appearances, Roque has played slightly more than 2,000 minutes and scored nine goals. Despite the reduction in his numbers, his potential continues to attract clubs seeking attacking reinforcements.
The interest reflects the contrast between his difficult European experience and the stronger return he initially produced in Brazil. Clubs must weigh that scoring record against his injury-affected campaign this year before making any approach.
Everton are reportedly examining a move as they look to improve their attacking options. Manchester United and Tottenham have also been linked, while Chelsea have emerged as another Premier League club monitoring his development.
Roque’s representative, Andre Cury, has confirmed that European teams are watching the player. Speaking to Bolavip, Cury said: “There are many clubs in Europe interested in Vitor.” He also reportedly acknowledged Everton’s interest, suggesting the striker could attract competition if Palmeiras become willing to negotiate.
Palmeiras have not publicly responded to the speculation. However, the Brazilian club are believed to value Roque at no less than €50 million. That figure could prove a significant obstacle for interested sides and is likely to influence negotiations over a possible January transfer.
Chelsea’s reported interest would raise questions about the club’s plans for its existing attacking options. The report identifies Joao Pedro, Danny Welbeck and Emmanuel Emegha among the forwards, while noting that Emegha has played only 22 minutes after suffering a hamstring injury.
Manager Xabi Alonso has reportedly relied most heavily on Joao Pedro, making another striker an important consideration for Chelsea’s forward planning. Roque’s arrival could increase competition for attacking places and affect opportunities for players already at the club.
However, no formal offer or agreement involving Chelsea or another interested side has been confirmed. Roque remains a Palmeiras player, and his future will depend on whether a prospective buyer is prepared to meet the club’s reported valuation. Interest from England is growing, but a January move remains uncertain.
