According to a report by Madrid Universal on Friday, November 6, 2026, Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. is currently in Dubai fulfilling a commercial commitment rather than training with his teammates ahead of the club's upcoming La Liga clash against Valencia.
The Brazilian's absence from the training ground has attracted attention, but it is not believed to be related to an injury or disciplinary issue.
According to journalist Mario Cortegana, Vinicius travelled to Dubai to fulfil promotional responsibilities connected to Real Madrid's commercial partnership with the United Arab Emirates.
The visit was reportedly scheduled to take advantage of his current four match La Liga suspension, allowing the 26 year old to complete his commercial obligations without disrupting his availability for domestic fixtures.
It will also give him an opportunity to prepare for his return to international duty with Brazil during the November break.
Real Madrid have maintained significant commercial relationships in the UAE. In October 2023, the Spanish club announced a global partnership with Visit Dubai, making the destination its first official destination partner. The club also extended its agreement with Emirates in September 2026, with the deal now running until 2031.
Vinicius' latest visit is understood to form part of the annual commitments associated with these commercial arrangements.
The forward is currently serving a four match suspension following his dismissal during Real Madrid's 1-0 victory over Villarreal on October 10. He was sent off for pulling Nathan Saliba's hair, while his protests towards the match officials contributed to the additional punishment.
The suspension covers league matches against Sevilla, Barcelona, Racing Santander and Valencia. Saturday's encounter at Mestalla will be the final game of his ban, meaning he will be eligible to return after the international break.
Interestingly, Real Madrid have recorded three consecutive La Liga victories during his absence, demonstrating their ability to collect important points without one of their most influential attackers.
Nevertheless, Vinicius remains a key figure in the squad because of his pace, dribbling ability and creativity in the final third. His return will provide manager Jose Mourinho with another important attacking option for the remainder of the campaign.
Meanwhile, the Brazilian is expected to join his national teammates for two friendly matches in Singapore during the November international break, with Brazil scheduled to face Japan and the host nation.
His Dubai trip will therefore allow him to complete his commercial responsibilities before linking up with the national team, while Real Madrid prepare for their final fixture before the international break.
