According to a report by Citi FM on Sunday October 25, 2026, Tottenham Hotspur forward Mathys Tel has described the team’s victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge as a special moment, urging his teammates to appreciate and enjoy the achievement.

The French forward expressed his delight following the important result, highlighting the significance of securing a win against a London rival at one of English football’s most challenging venues.

Tel believes victories of this nature deserve to be celebrated, particularly given the intensity and competitiveness that often accompany clashes between Tottenham and Chelsea.

Matches between the two sides are usually marked by high expectations, fierce rivalry and pressure from supporters, making a positive result especially meaningful for the winning team.

According to the Tottenham forward, the players should take time to savour the moment rather than immediately turn their attention to upcoming fixtures.

His remarks underline the importance of recognising the team’s achievements while maintaining the determination required to compete at the highest level.

The victory at Stamford Bridge could also provide Tottenham with renewed confidence as they continue their campaign.

Winning away against a familiar rival can strengthen team morale and reinforce the belief that the squad is capable of delivering important results in difficult circumstances.

Tel’s comments reflect the value of togetherness and collective effort within the Tottenham dressing room.

For the forward, the occasion represents more than simply adding another victory to the team's record; it is a moment for the players to appreciate what they have accomplished together.

“Need to enjoy,” Tel said, emphasising the importance of celebrating the achievement.

With the demands of the football season requiring players to move quickly from one challenge to another, Tel’s message serves as a reminder that success should also be appreciated when it comes.

Tottenham will now look to build on the result as they pursue their objectives for the season, with the confidence gained from the Stamford Bridge victory potentially playing an important role in their performances in the matches ahead.
