Chelsea ready to agree deal with €110m superstar

According to a report by TEAMtalk on Thursday, October 15, 2026, Chelsea are prepared to offer Estevao Willian an improved contract despite the teenager struggling to secure regular playing time under manager Xabi Alonso.

The Brazilian forward has played just 29 minutes in the Premier League this season, raising questions about his role following Alonso's decision to adopt a 3-4-2-1 formation.

Morgan Rogers, Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro have established themselves as key attacking options, leaving Estevao with limited opportunities to impress at Stamford Bridge.

The 19-year-old has featured in five of Chelsea's six league matches but has yet to come on before the 80th minute. Chelsea's absence from European competition has also reduced opportunities for squad rotation.

Reports from Spain have linked Barcelona with an interest in the youngster, who previously attracted attention from the Catalan club during his time at Palmeiras.

Despite the reported interest, Chelsea are willing to discuss improved contract terms with Estevao, according to a Daily Mail report cited by FootballTransfers.

His current contract runs until 2032, but the Blues are considering rewarding the Brazilian as they continue efforts to secure the long-term futures of their key attacking players.

Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro have both signed new contracts since the end of last season, potentially providing a model for negotiations with Estevao.

However, it remains uncertain whether the teenager would accept an improved deal if his playing time does not increase, as regular first-team football could become an important factor in his development.

Alonso has maintained that Estevao remains part of his plans and expects the youngster to receive more opportunities in the coming months.

Speaking before Chelsea's 5-1 victory over Bournemouth, the manager said: "It's still early in the season, just a few games since we started. Este is feeling much better from the injury; we have seen with Brazil that he has played more.

"The context is different when he played with the international team than in the Premier League. We know the demands of the Premier League and we know how important Este can be in some games. He will have his moments and more minutes."

Estevao has scored eight goals in 43 appearances for Chelsea. FootballTransfers estimates his current transfer value at €110.9 million, placing him among the most valuable teenagers in world football.
