According to a report by BBC Sport on Thursday, October 15, 2026, Brazilian forward Endrick produced an impressive performance off the bench to earn the Man of the Match award as Real Madrid came from two goals down to secure a dramatic 4-3 victory over Roma.
Endrick was introduced in the 59th minute, replacing Vinicius Junior, with Real Madrid struggling to recover after Roma established a two-goal advantage in the second half.
The Brazilian youngster immediately added energy to Madrid’s attack, using his movement and physical strength to trouble the home side’s defence. His introduction helped the visitors maintain pressure as they searched for a way back into the contest.
Endrick’s most decisive contribution came in the 85th minute when he rose to meet Arda Guler’s corner and directed a powerful header into the bottom-left corner to level the score at 3-3.
The equaliser proved crucial in changing the momentum of the match, giving Real Madrid renewed confidence and paving the way for their remarkable comeback. Endrick’s aerial ability became particularly important at a time when his team desperately needed a breakthrough.
The forward had threatened earlier in the match when he directed another header towards goal, only for Roma goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini to produce an excellent save. However, Endrick continued to press and eventually found the back of the net with his crucial equaliser.
Real Madrid completed their comeback in the 90th minute when Antonio Rudiger scored from another Guler corner, sealing a thrilling 4-3 victory after Roma had appeared to be in control.
Although several Madrid players contributed to the late turnaround, Endrick’s impact after coming off the bench proved particularly significant. His equaliser shifted the momentum in the visitors’ favour and helped the Spanish giants complete a memorable Champions League comeback.
