According to a report by Metro on Saturday, November 7, 2026, former Liverpool striker Emile Heskey has urged the Reds to consider signing Chelsea youngster Estevao, describing the Brazilian winger as a valuable addition to their attacking options.
Heskey believes Liverpool should explore the possibility of bringing the 19-year-old to Anfield, particularly following Mohamed Salah's departure from the club.
Although Estevao has impressed whenever given the opportunity, he has struggled to secure a regular starting position under Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso this season.
The Brazilian made his first Premier League start of the campaign against Manchester United last weekend, delivering an encouraging performance.
However, he has managed just 134 minutes in the competition this season, with strong competition among Chelsea's attacking players limiting his chances.
Heskey believes Estevao's ability to take on defenders, drive forward with the ball and create opportunities could add a different dimension to Liverpool's attack.
"Estevao would be a great signing for Liverpool," he told Eldorado.
"You look at what he would bring, his drive on the ball and everything, he's a very tidy player, and that is exactly what Liverpool still miss after losing Mohamed Salah, someone who is more direct."
The former England international also suggested that signing Estevao would increase competition among Liverpool's wingers while giving the teenager more opportunities to demonstrate his quality and continue developing.
"It would put pressure on the other wingers who are great players as well but it ups the ante, and he'd love the chance to get more chances to show what he can do because he's been out of the reckoning at times for someone of his talent."
Despite Heskey's recommendation, Chelsea have shown no indication that they are willing to let the highly rated youngster leave, either on a permanent deal or loan.
Speaking ahead of the Manchester United match, Alonso dismissed reports suggesting that Estevao could leave Stamford Bridge on loan during the January transfer window.
"No discussions about that," Alonso said.
The Spanish manager also acknowledged his responsibility for the teenager's limited playing time but praised his attitude and commitment during training.
Meanwhile, former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard believes Estevao could become an important part of Alonso's plans, particularly when fellow Brazilian forward Joao Pedro returns from injury.
Estevao's display against Manchester United has further highlighted his considerable potential. However, there is currently little suggestion that Chelsea are prepared to allow him to leave Stamford Bridge.
