Barcelona must improve defensively if they are to reach their full potential, with Rodri admitting the team still concede too many goals ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain.

In a post shared by Fabrizio Romano on X, Rodri speaking after Barcelona’s 5-2 win against Real Betis highlighted Barcelona’s defensive weaknesses despite their impressive attacking form, while describing PSG as “possibly the best team in the world”.

“PSG are possibly the best team in the world. It will be a good test for us,” Rodri said.

“We are quite good in attack, but we have to improve a lot in defence. We still concede way too much. We have to adjust that to reach our full potential,” he added.

Barcelona have won all 11 of their matches across competitions this season, demonstrating their attacking strength under Hansi Flick.

However, their defensive record remains an area for improvement as they prepare to face PSG, the reigning Champions League holders, on Tuesday.

The encounter at the Parc des Princes will provide a major test of Barcelona’s ability to balance their attacking threat with greater defensive solidity against one of Europe’s top sides.
