Nigeria defeated Brazil on Wednesday, thanks to goals from Joseph and Awawu Bashiru.

The Flamingos will now face Japan in the final on Saturday in Rabat.

In her post-match interview, Joseph insisted that the team is carrying the hopes of Africa as well as Nigeria.

"I am super-proud of myself and my team because we made history by reaching the final," she said.

"We aren't here just representing Nigeria, we're here representing Africa as a whole.”
