Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick, has agreed with Lamine Yamal that his teammate at the club, Pau Cubarsí, should have won the Kopa Trophy at the 2026 Ballon d'Or.
Yamal was announced as the winner of the award for the third consecutive year.
During his acceptance speech, the 19-year-old claimed that Cubarsí deserved the prize.
This follows a season in which Cubarsi won Best Young Player at the 2026 World Cup.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Flick said: "I also loved what Lamine said about Pau Cubarsí.
"He deserved the Kopa Trophy after an incredible season.”
