Popular Afrobeats singer Mr Eazi has said that he rejected the opportunity to play for Chelsea football club. He recently had his say during a radio interview, and fans have been reacting.

Revealing that Chelsea tried to sign him during his academy days as a footballer, Mr Eazi disclosed that he turned the club down because he only wanted to do music.

The “Skin Tight” crooner added that the English club eventually moved on from him and signed his academy teammate, John Mikel Obi.

His words, “Chelsea Football Club approached me to sign before Mikel Obi when we were at the same academy, but I turned them down because I knew I could do music, while my friend Mikel only wanted to play football. So I allowed him to shine.”
