Nigeria’s Future Eagles produced a ruthless attacking display at the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival in Baku, Azerbaijan, sweeping aside New Caledonia 7-0 in an emphatic victory, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Nigerian youngsters wasted little time asserting their dominance, with Wisdom Oche opening the scoring in the first minute to give the team an early lead.

Captain Timothy Ijachi doubled Nigeria’s advantage in the 12th minute before taking his tally to three goals with strikes in the 16th and 35th minutes to complete an impressive hat-trick.

Abdulsalam Muhammad also enjoyed a productive outing in front of goal, finding the net in the 21st and 39th minutes as Nigeria continued to exploit gaps in the New Caledonia defence.

Mayowa Salu rounded off the scoring in the 40th minute, completing a seven-goal performance that underlined Nigeria’s superiority throughout the encounter.

Ijachi’s hat-trick stood out in a match where the Future Eagles demonstrated their attacking quality, with Oche, Muhammad and Salu also making important contributions to the scoreline.

The convincing win represents a strong showing from Nigeria at the youth festival, providing the team with a confidence boost as the young players continue their international development in Azerbaijan.
