Achraf Hakimi delivered a career-defining performance as Paris Saint-Germain crushed bottom-placed Le Havre AC 5-1 in Ligue 1 on Friday night at Stade Océane, extending the champions’ perfect run and cementing their place at the top of the table.

The Morocco international, who finished 13th in the 2026 Ballon d’Or rankings just days earlier, produced a full-back masterclass that left the struggling hosts in tatters.

Involved in every single PSG goal, Hakimi scored a stunning hat-trick and provided two assists in a display that underlined why he remains one of the most dynamic right-backs in world football.

Le Havre struck first against the run of play. Josh Maja gave the rock-bottom side a shock 18th-minute lead, briefly silencing the travelling Parisian support.

The lead lasted only eight minutes.

Hakimi controlled a long ball superbly and squared for Mika Godts to equalise in the 26th minute. Two minutes later the Moroccan completed the turnaround himself, timing his run to perfection and curling a precise right-footed shot into the near post.

After the break, Hakimi continued his rampage. In the 55th minute he curled a superb free-kick into the bottom corner to make it 3-1.

Seven minutes later his incisive through-ball released Senny Mayulu, who rounded the goalkeeper and slotted home. Hakimi completed his first career hat-trick in the 69th minute when a rebound off his thigh found the net after the goalkeeper had saved his initial effort.

The statistics tell the story of total dominance.

Hakimi registered three goals and two assists, created multiple big chances, completed the vast majority of his passes and covered every blade of grass on the right flank. Sofascore awarded him a perfect 10 rating for a performance that few full-backs in Europe could match.

Luis Enrique’s side moved four points clear at the summit with 20 points from nine matches, their ninth consecutive victory in all competitions. Le Havre remain rooted to the bottom with just two points and a fifth straight defeat.

Hakimi’s night carried extra significance after his 13th-place finish in the 2026 Ballon d’Or, where he became the first African defender to feature twice in the top 15. The performance against HAC offered a timely reminder of his elite quality as PSG chase another Ligue 1 title and continue their strong European campaign.

From defensive solidity to devastating attacking runs, free-kick expertise and clinical finishing, Achraf Hakimi showed once again why he is indispensable to Paris Saint-Germain. On this evidence, the Moroccan star is operating at the peak of his powers and remains a genuine contender for individual awards in the seasons ahead.
