Jordan Ayew's net worth has never been published by a reliable source. The totals that circulate online are guesses. What is on record is his pay: Footy-Africa reported that his one-season contract at Sheffield United is worth about £500,000 gross. On Saturday 17 October 2026 he made his first start for the Blades, playing 69 minutes of a 1-0 Championship win over Bristol City.
He is 35 now. Times have changed. The numbers around Ghana's most-capped player look very different from his Crystal Palace days.

Search for his net worth and you will find confident totals running into many millions of pounds. None comes with a source. None has been confirmed by Ayew, his agent or a club, so we will not repeat them.
His wage is another matter.
Sheffield United announced him as a free agent on 8 September 2026, after his Leicester City contract ran out at the end of 2025-26. The deal runs for one year. According to Footy-Africa, he will earn £500,000 gross over the season, roughly £9,600 a week before tax.
In local money, using mid-market rates on 18 October 2026 of ₦1,774 and $1.33 to the pound, that season's pay comes to about ₦887 million, or roughly $666,000, before the taxman in England takes his share.
That is a modest wage for a player who spent most of a decade in the Premier League. Crystal Palace paid Swansea £2.5 million to make his loan permanent in 2019. Leicester then signed him from Palace for a reported £5 million in 2024. Those were the peak earning years, but the salaries were never officially disclosed. Any career total is an estimate built on estimates.

Marseille made him. He came through the academy and scored on his senior debut against Lorient in December 2009, then stayed until 2014, playing 111 matches and winning Ligue 1 in 2009-10 plus three Coupe de la Ligue trophies.
A loan at Sochaux followed. At Lorient he scored 12 goals in 31 games. Then England.
Aston Villa signed him in 2015. Swansea City signed him in 2017 in a deal that sent Neil Taylor the other way, and the Swans' squad voted him Players' Player of the Season in 2017-18. Palace were his longest stop. He made 175 appearances there after the permanent move and swept Player of the Year, Players' Player of the Year and Goal of the Season in 2019-20. At Leicester he scored 11 goals in 72 games.
The Sheffield United move was quick. “It happened really, really quick because I was in Ghana and the manager called me last week,” Ayew told the club. Chris Wilder called him “someone here with bags of experience from right at the top level of the game.”
The start was slow. Very slow. He came off the bench against Wolves and in a Carabao Cup defeat to Fleetwood Town. Then, in September, an MRI scan taken while he was with Ghana found an unspecified problem and he left the camp, which cost him the chance to lead the side in two Nations Cup qualifiers.
Before Bristol City, Wilder was upbeat. “He's close now. He's in our thoughts.”
Ayew made his Ghana debut on 5 September 2010, a 3-0 win over Swaziland. By the end of the 2026 World Cup he had 124 caps and 34 goals, according to the RSSSF record of his international appearances.
He drew level with his brother André's 120 caps against Wales on 2 June. He passed him in the World Cup opener, a 1-0 win over Panama in Toronto on 17 June. The record was his. Ghana then drew 0-0 with England, lost 2-1 to Croatia and went out 1-0 to Colombia in the round of 32 in Kansas City on 4 July, with Ayew wearing the armband Otto Addo handed him in November 2024.
Three World Cups now. He has also played at six Nations Cups, reaching the final in 2015.
Not everyone in Ghana wants him to carry on. Some fans say it is time. Carlos Queiroz, now in charge of the Black Stars, defended the recall in September: “I still have this young boy, Jordan Ayew, who is starting to renew his career.”
Football runs in the family. It always has. Ayew is the son of former Ghana captain Abedi Pele, and his brothers André and Ibrahim also played professionally; our André Ayew profile covers the eldest.
His partner is Denise Acquah. Ghanaian outlets such as Yen describe her as his wife and the mother of two of his children, but we found no public announcement of a wedding, so we treat the marriage as unconfirmed.
He holds Ghanaian and French nationality.
He is a practising Muslim.
