According to a report by Daily Post on Wednesday October 21, 2026, Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has praised four Paris Saint-Germain players following their impressive 4-2 victory over Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
PSG produced an outstanding performance in Paris, with Désiré Doué, Lucas Hernández, Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz finding the net to secure an important victory against Hansi Flick’s side.
Barcelona responded through Xavi Espart and Lamine Yamal, but they were unable to prevent the French champions from claiming all three points.
Speaking on CBS Sports Golazo after the match, Henry singled out Fabian Ruiz, João Neves, Vitinha and Achraf Hakimi for their impressive contributions.
“They just dominated the games. Fabian Ruiz, João Neves and Vitinha, they controlled that game. That midfield was just outstanding,” Henry said.
The former France international also praised Hakimi, highlighting PSG’s ability to maintain their style of play despite losing players in wide areas.
“Not only the midfield, Hakimi was outstanding and losing players in the wing didn't change the way PSG played against Barcelona,” he added.
PSG’s midfield control proved particularly important, allowing the hosts to dictate the tempo and limit Barcelona’s ability to establish their usual rhythm. Ruiz, Neves and Vitinha combined their technical quality with intelligent movement to help PSG control proceedings.
Hakimi also impressed with his contribution, providing energy and attacking threat from the flank as PSG maintained pressure on their opponents.
For Barcelona, the defeat will raise questions about their ability to cope with opponents who can dominate possession and exploit spaces across the pitch.
