According to a report by Daily Post on Saturday October 31, 2026, former Fenerbahçe defender Ümit Özat has claimed that Real Madrid, Arsenal and several other top European clubs would be willing to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen if he agrees to earn €10 million annually.
Osimhen, 27, currently plays for Turkish champions Galatasaray, having completed a permanent transfer from Italian Serie A side Napoli last year.
The Nigeria international has continued to attract interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs, including Real Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid.
However, Özat believes the striker's salary demands could be a major factor in determining whether he secures a move to another European giant.
Speaking about the Galatasaray forward, the former Fenerbahçe star suggested that several elite clubs would not hesitate to sign him if he were prepared to accept an annual salary of €10 million.
"If Osimhen said: I'm willing to play for 10 million euros a year, would Real take Osimhen today? Real would take him," Özat said, as quoted by @beyefendi_X1 on X.
He also mentioned Barcelona, insisting that the Spanish giants would be interested in securing the Nigerian's services.
"Barcelona would take him. All six of England's big six would take him," he added.
The former defender also made a strong statement about Atletico Madrid, suggesting that the Spanish club would be too small for a player of Osimhen's quality.
"Atletico Madrid and the like would be too small for Osimhen," he said.
Özat's comments come amid continued speculation surrounding the future of the former Napoli striker, who has established himself as one of the most sought-after forwards in European football.
Osimhen previously attracted significant attention during his time in Italy, where his performances for Napoli helped the club win the Serie A title in the 2022/23 season.
His goalscoring ability, physical strength, pace and movement have made him an attractive option for several top clubs looking to strengthen their attacking departments.
Although Özat's remarks do not confirm any official approach or transfer negotiations, they highlight the level of regard in which the Nigerian striker is held.
For now, Osimhen remains a Galatasaray player, but speculation linking him with a return to one of Europe's major leagues is likely to continue.
