Barcelona captain Raphinha and midfielder Rodri have reportedly urged their teammates to remain united and learn from their mistakes following their 4-2 Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain ahead of Sunday’s El Clásico against Real Madrid.

According to a report by Barca Universal on Saturday, October 24, 2026, the experienced players addressed the dressing room after the European setback, stressing the importance of correcting their errors before facing their biggest rivals at Spotify Camp Nou.

Despite suffering their first defeat of the season, Barcelona’s confidence has reportedly remained intact. Raphinha encouraged his teammates to examine their performance against PSG, identify their mistakes and use the experience to improve.

Rodri also shared his thoughts with the squad, explaining that early-season setbacks could provide valuable lessons ahead of the decisive stages of the campaign.

The Ballon d’Or winner emphasised the importance of maintaining concentration during major fixtures, pointing out that matches against elite opponents demand consistent focus and accurate decision-making because of the high stakes involved.

Barcelona’s coaching staff and senior players reportedly share the belief that the defeat to PSG does not indicate a deeper problem within the team. Instead, they consider individual mistakes and poor decisions at crucial moments to have played a major role in the result.

The report also suggests that the dressing room remains united and confident about achieving its objectives this season. The players believe that learning from their European disappointment could help them maintain a strong level of performance in upcoming competitions.

Both Raphinha and Rodri are expected to play important roles when Barcelona face Real Madrid on Sunday. Rodri, who came on as a substitute during the PSG encounter, could return to the starting lineup in midfield for the Clasico.

His experience and composure under pressure could prove valuable as Barcelona attempt to control the game and prevent Madrid from disrupting their rhythm.

Raphinha will also be eager to respond positively after what was described as a disappointing performance in Paris. As captain, the Brazilian will have an opportunity to lead by example and inspire his teammates through his display.

Following their Champions League defeat, Sunday’s encounter offers Barcelona an important chance to restore confidence, satisfy their supporters and demonstrate their determination to compete for major honours this season.
