According to a report by Madrid Universal on Friday October 30, 2026, Racing Santander manager Jose Alberto Lopez has warned his players about the threat posed by Real Madrid ahead of their meeting with Jose Mourinho's side on Sunday.
The Spanish coach believes Los Blancos are currently in excellent form and has praised Mourinho for making the team more competitive and organised in recent weeks.
Real Madrid head into the encounter on the back of five consecutive victories, including their impressive El Clasico triumph over Barcelona.
Speaking ahead of Sunday's game, Lopez described the Spanish giants as one of the best clubs in the world and praised their manager's achievements.
"Real Madrid are one of the best clubs in the world. They have extraordinary players and are very well managed," he said, as quoted by AS.
Lopez also warned that Madrid's attacking threat goes beyond Kylian Mbappe, insisting that any player in their squad has the quality to decide a game.
"It is not just Mbappe. Any player can be brilliant, and it will be incredible to face them," he explained.
The Racing Santander manager particularly highlighted Madrid's ability to win matches without necessarily dominating possession.
"Real Madrid don't need to dominate the game to beat you. They find the goals first, and then the football," Lopez said.
He also praised Mourinho's side for their defensive commitment and collective organisation, explaining that they work hard for one another before looking to punish opponents on the counter-attack.
Racing Santander will now have to find a way to contain Madrid's attacking quality when both teams meet on Sunday, with Lopez aware that his players will face a difficult challenge against the in-form visitors.
