According to a report by FootballTransfers, on Saturday, October 17, 2026, Jude Bellingham has reportedly reached an agreement with Real Madrid over a five-year contract extension that would keep him at the Bernabéu until 2031.
The new deal is expected to reward the England midfielder with improved terms after his influential start to life in Spain.
According to Diario AS, discussions between Bellingham and the club began towards the end of last season.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has also reported that the parties have reached a verbal agreement. While some formal steps remain, the extension is expected to be completed in due course.
Since joining Real Madrid, Bellingham has established himself as one of the team’s most important players. His technical quality, energy and ability to contribute in attack have made him a central figure in the squad.
He has started the current campaign with three goals and three assists in 10 appearances across all competitions.
A number of leading English clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United have previously been linked with the midfielder. However, a new long-term agreement would make a move away from Madrid considerably less likely.
For Real Madrid, securing Bellingham’s future would be a significant step in protecting one of their most valuable players.
The reported extension would also bring an end to much of the speculation surrounding his next career move, allowing the 23-year-old to focus on his role at the club.
