Stats show Raphinha and Lamine Yamal have become Europe’s most dangerous attacking partnership

According to a report by Barca Universal on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, Barcelona forwards Raphinha and Lamine Yamal have emerged as one of the most dangerous attacking partnerships in European football following their impressive performances for the Spanish club this season.

The two attackers were once again in the spotlight during Barcelona’s 3-0 victory over Aston Villa in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night. Raphinha scored twice, while Yamal also got on the scoresheet to help Hansi Flick’s side secure an important victory after suffering consecutive defeats against Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

Their performances against Aston Villa further demonstrated the strong understanding they have developed on the pitch. Both players have played important roles in Barcelona’s attacking success, combining their individual abilities to create problems for opposition defenders.

According to statistics reported by Barca Universal, Raphinha and Yamal have recorded a combined 32 goals and 14 assists in La Liga and the Champions League. Their 46 direct goal contributions place them ahead of several other attacking partnerships among Europe’s leading clubs.

The report also revealed that the pair have been involved in 42 of Barcelona’s 60 goals this season, representing 70 per cent of the team’s total goals.

Raphinha has been particularly impressive, scoring 19 goals in 13 appearances across competitions. The Brazilian enjoyed an outstanding start to the La Liga campaign, finding the net 12 times in his first seven matchdays. This saw him surpass Lionel Messi’s previous Barcelona record of 11 goals during the opening seven matches of the 2017-18 season.

His pace, movement, pressing ability and finishing have made him one of Flick’s most important players.

Meanwhile, Yamal has continued to impress with his creativity and goalscoring ability. The Spanish youngster has registered 13 goals and 11 assists, showing that he can contribute both as a finisher and as a player who creates opportunities for his teammates.

His goal against Aston Villa also took his Champions League tally to 14, making him the competition’s highest-scoring teenager, ahead of Kylian Mbappe’s previous record of 13 goals before turning 20.

The partnership between both players has become increasingly effective, with Yamal regularly creating chances for Raphinha and the Brazilian also providing opportunities for his younger teammate.

Their different playing styles have made them difficult to defend against. While Raphinha uses his movement, energy and aggressive approach to trouble defenders, Yamal relies on his close control, creativity and ability to beat opponents in one-on-one situations.

Their combined numbers also put them ahead of Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane and Michael Olise, who have recorded 38 direct goal contributions.

With both attackers maintaining their impressive form, Barcelona will hope they can continue delivering important goals and assists as the club pursues major trophies this season.
