According to a report by Barca Universal on Sunday October 25, 2026, Barcelona have officially announced their 23-man squad for their El Clasico clash against Real Madrid, with manager Hansi Flick handing call-ups to two young talents, Alex Campos and Orian Goren.
The two youngsters have been included in the matchday squad for Sunday's encounter at the Spotify Camp Nou, giving them an opportunity to be part of one of football's biggest fixtures.
Campos had previously been called up for Barcelona's Champions League meeting with Paris Saint-Germain, while Goren is receiving his first opportunity to join the senior squad for a La Liga match.
Although neither player is guaranteed playing time, their inclusion provides Flick with additional options as Barcelona prepare for a crucial encounter against their biggest rivals.
However, Barcelona will be without five players because of injuries. Eric Garcia, Jules Kounde, Dani Olmo, Andreas Christensen and Roony Bardghji have all been ruled out of the match.
Olmo is expected to miss around a month after suffering an injury to the adductor muscle in his left leg. Kounde has also failed to recover from his ankle problem in time for the highly anticipated fixture.
The other absences further limit Flick's options, particularly in defence and attack, as Barcelona look to secure three important points.
Barcelona head into the contest with the opportunity to move nine points clear of Real Madrid in the La Liga standings. Victory would provide a significant advantage early in the title race and strengthen their position at the top of the table.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Flick described El Clasico as “one of the best matches this sport has to offer.”
Despite the injury setbacks, Barcelona will be determined to deliver a strong performance in front of their supporters. The inclusion of Campos and Goren also highlights the opportunities available to young players within the club.
All eyes will now be on Flick's team selection as Barcelona prepare to face Real Madrid in the first El Clasico of the 2026/27 season.
