I Did Not Expect To Win All 7 Games –Maresca

According to a post by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on X on Saturday, October 17, 2026, Enzo Maresca expressed his happiness after admitting he did not expect to win all seven of his team’s opening league matches.

The manager highlighted the team’s perfect record and position at the top of the table, describing the start as a reason for satisfaction.

“I did not expect to win 7/7 games. I'm so happy," Maresca said.

Maresca further explained why he was pleased with the team’s performances and results, pointing to their unbeaten run through the opening seven fixtures.

“We are at the top of the league, with seven games and seven wins. There is no reason not to be very happy," he added.

The comments reflect the manager’s satisfaction with how his side have started the campaign. Winning each of the first seven league matches has given the team maximum points from those fixtures and placed them at the summit of the standings.

Although Maresca acknowledged that such a run was beyond his initial expectations, his remarks showed his appreciation for the players’ achievements so far.

The perfect start also provides a strong platform for the remainder of the season, although maintaining that level of consistency across a full league campaign presents a different challenge.

For now, Maresca is focused on enjoying the results while his team continue their pursuit of success. His comments underline the importance of the seven victories and the confidence that can come from opening a season with such a record.
