Real Madrid midfielders Aurelien Tchouameni and Arda Guler have reportedly earned special recognition from within the club's dressing room for their professionalism, dedication and progress under manager Jose Mourinho.
According to a report by Madrid Universal on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, the two players have impressed their teammates with their commitment and positive attitude, both on the pitch and behind the scenes.
Real Madrid have enjoyed an impressive run of form in recent weeks, winning their last six matches after an inconsistent beginning to the 2026/27 campaign. Mourinho's tactical changes have helped improve the team's performances, with several players taking on more important roles in his plans.
However, journalist Juanfe Sanz revealed on El Chiringuito that Tchouameni and Guler have received particular praise for their attitude and dedication to their development.
Tchouameni is reportedly beginning to establish himself as a leader in the dressing room despite not officially holding the captaincy. The French midfielder has impressed club members with his strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining his physical condition.
Sanz explained that the 26-year-old regularly spends extra time working in the gym, highlighting his determination to remain fit and continue improving. The journalist added that people at the club have spoken very highly of him.
His influence has also grown on the pitch, where he has become an important part of Mourinho's midfield system. Tchouameni has developed a partnership with Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva, with both players offering different qualities.
While Bernardo Silva contributes creativity, possession control and accurate forward passes, Tchouameni focuses more on defensive duties, protecting the backline and recovering possession. Their combination has helped provide greater balance in Real Madrid's midfield.
Meanwhile, Guler has also attracted admiration for the improvement in his mentality and professional approach. According to Sanz, the Turkish international has made significant progress in his attitude, training habits and overall commitment.
The club has reportedly noticed a major change in his behaviour compared with previous seasons. The 21-year-old has also become an important member of Mourinho's squad, using his creativity and ability to create scoring opportunities to influence the team's attacking play.
His performances in La Liga's chance-creation statistics have further demonstrated his growing importance to the Spanish giants.
Interestingly, both midfielders have previously faced uncertainty over their long-term futures at Real Madrid. However, their recent displays and improved attitudes appear to have strengthened their positions within the squad.
Their progress will be encouraging for Mourinho, who needs players capable of maintaining high standards both in training and during competitive matches.
Despite their importance to the team, Tchouameni and Guler are reportedly expected to miss Real Madrid's Champions League meeting with AEK Athens on Wednesday as they are rested. Their absence could give Mourinho the opportunity to assess other midfield options, although replacing two influential players may prove challenging.
