Eight Arsenal Players Nominated for 2026 FIFPRO World 11 Award

According to a report by London Evening Standard on Monday November 2, 2026, Eight Arsenal players have been nominated for the 2026 FIFPRO World 11 award following their impressive performances for both the men's and women's teams.

The finalists were officially revealed by the players' union on Monday, with the winners scheduled to be announced on November 9.

The nominations come shortly after Arsenal secured a memorable 1-0 victory over Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday. Kai Havertz scored the decisive goal in the 16th minute after connecting with Declan Rice's low cross.

The result ended Arsenal's 14-year wait for a Premier League victory at Anfield. It also moved Mikel Arteta's side to the top of the table with 24 points from nine matches, three ahead of Manchester City.

Arsenal's defensive display attracted widespread praise after Liverpool failed to register a single shot on target despite attempting 17 efforts. The Gunners also recorded their sixth clean sheet of the league campaign.

Jamie Carragher described Arsenal as the best defensive team in England and potentially Europe. Declan Rice also praised the team's organisation and determination throughout the encounter.

Meanwhile, David Raya, Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba and Declan Rice represent Arsenal on the men's FIFPRO World 11 shortlist. On the women's side, Alessia Russo, Chloe Kelly, Ona Batlle and Emily Fox have also received nominations.

Former Arsenal captain Katie McCabe, who joined Chelsea during the summer, is another finalist. FIFPRO has listed her as an Arsenal/Chelsea player.

According to the players' union, 26,317 professional footballers from 75 countries participated in the voting process. The award is the only global football honour decided exclusively by professional players.

The men's shortlist recognises performances between August 4, 2025, and July 19, 2026. Meanwhile, the women's nominations cover performances until August 16, 2026.

The final teams will feature the players who receive the highest votes in their respective positions. FIFPRO will announce the winners on November 9 across its digital platforms.
