According to a report by the Barca Universal on Thursday October 29, 2026, Barcelona are monitoring Galatasaray attacking midfielder Aleksey Batrakov following his impressive performances since arriving in Turkey from Lokomotiv Moscow.
According to reports, citing Turkish newspaper Milliyet, the Catalan club are among several European sides keeping tabs on the 21-year-old Russian, although no formal offer has been reported.
Batrakov joined Galatasaray last summer in a deal worth €25 million and signed a contract that runs until 2031.
The midfielder has made an encouraging start to life in Turkey, registering two goals and two assists in his first nine official appearances, according to the report.
He has also caught Barcelona’s attention after scoring against Hansi Flick’s side during their Champions League meeting in Istanbul before finding the net against Lille.
Batrakov’s technical ability, creativity and movement in attacking areas have reportedly contributed to the growing interest in his services.
His ability to receive the ball between the lines, identify passing opportunities and move into dangerous positions around the penalty area could make him an attractive option for Barcelona as they assess their future attacking reinforcements.
However, any potential move could prove financially challenging for the Spanish giants.
Galatasaray reportedly have a €55 million release clause in the Russian’s contract, putting the Turkish club in a strong position to resist offers that fall short of their valuation.
Barcelona would also face competition from Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Manchester United, who have reportedly been monitoring the midfielder’s progress.
With Batrakov contracted until 2031, Galatasaray have little immediate pressure to sell and could demand a substantial fee if interest intensifies.
For now, Barcelona’s interest remains at the scouting stage, with no confirmed negotiations between the clubs.
