EPL: Liverpool Superstar Wins Man of The Match Award After His Brilliant Performance

Alexander Isak played a key role in Liverpool's 2-0 Premier League win over Brighton on Sunday, finding the net to help the Reds secure a valuable three points on home soil.

According to BBC Sport on Sunday, October 25, 2026, Liverpool started the game brilliantly, scoring two goals within the first 21 minutes to take control of the encounter.

Liverpool moved ahead in the 17th minute when Brighton midfielder Pascal Gross accidentally turned the ball into his own net, giving the hosts an early advantage.

The home side extended their lead four minutes later through Isak. The Swedish international made the most of Bradley Barcola's assist, calmly tapping the ball into an unprotected goal from close range to put Liverpool firmly in control.

Isak had nearly threatened Brighton's defence shortly before scoring, creating room for a shot from outside the penalty area in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, his attempt flew over the crossbar. However, the striker made amends almost immediately by finishing Barcola's delivery to give Liverpool a two-goal advantage.

The Reds displayed impressive attacking quality throughout the opening half, using quick combinations and well-timed movements to expose weaknesses in Brighton's defensive structure. Isak's intelligent positioning inside the box allowed him to capitalise on Liverpool's attacking opportunities.

Brighton looked to respond in the second half and attempted to get back into the game. Nevertheless, Liverpool maintained their defensive discipline, preventing the visitors from creating enough opportunities to mount a comeback.

Isak remained active in Liverpool's attack before being substituted in the 77th minute, with Lewis Koumas coming on in his place. Neither team managed to score again, and Liverpool comfortably held on to claim all three points.

The Swedish striker's contribution proved important in securing the victory, as his goal strengthened Liverpool's early lead. His movement, positioning and constant attacking threat also made him a difficult opponent for Brighton's defenders to contain.
