According to a report by Barca Universal on Thursday October 29, 2026, Barcelona are monitoring Chelsea winger Estevao amid growing uncertainty surrounding his future at Stamford Bridge, with a possible January departure attracting the Catalan club’s attention.
According to reports, the 19-year-old Brazilian is becoming frustrated by his limited playing time under Xabi Alonso. His situation could create an opportunity for Barcelona to pursue a player they have admired for some time.
Although no negotiations between Barcelona and Chelsea have been confirmed, Estevao’s lack of involvement has raised questions about his future. Sporting director Deco remains a long-standing admirer of the young attacker and could reconsider his potential signing if circumstances change during the January transfer window.
Estevao’s frustration reportedly increased following Chelsea’s League Cup elimination against Liverpool. Despite the absences of Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro, the Brazilian remained on the bench without making an appearance. The setback further reduced his chances of establishing himself as a regular member of the first team.
The winger has accumulated only 163 minutes of playing time this season, including 125 minutes in the League Cup. His limited opportunities have fuelled speculation that he could seek an exit when the winter transfer window opens. However, it remains unclear whether Chelsea would be willing to let him leave midway through the campaign.
Deco considers Estevao one of the most exciting attacking talents to emerge from Brazil since Neymar. The teenager’s dribbling ability, creativity in tight spaces and intelligence between the lines make him an attractive option for Barcelona’s attacking system.
Barcelona previously tracked Estevao during his time at Palmeiras. However, financial difficulties prevented the Spanish giants from competing with Chelsea, who secured his signature for a fee exceeding €60 million.
The Brazilian’s current situation could now encourage Barcelona to revisit their interest. A temporary move might appeal to the Catalan club if Chelsea become willing to consider such an arrangement. Nevertheless, any potential transfer will depend on the winger’s circumstances and Chelsea’s willingness to negotiate his departure.
