According to a report by Football London on Saturday, 17 October 2026, Arsenal have received a potential boost in their pursuit of Victor Osimhen after the Galatasaray striker's market value dropped by £10 million.
The Nigeria international has continued to impress in Turkey, recording nine goal contributions in five league appearances this season.
His performances have kept him on the radar of clubs seeking a proven goalscorer, with Arsenal having monitored him for several years.
Osimhen established himself as one of Europe's leading strikers during his time at Napoli, scoring 76 goals and providing 18 assists across four seasons.
He also helped the Italian club win the Serie A title in the 2022/23 campaign before eventually moving to Galatasaray.
The 27-year-old has maintained his impressive record in Turkey, registering 84 goal contributions in 80 appearances for the Istanbul club.
According to Transfermarkt, Osimhen's market valuation has fallen from £65 million (€75 million) to £55 million (€65 million), potentially making a future transfer more financially attractive to interested clubs.
Arsenal were linked with a move for the striker in 2024, but reportedly decided against pursuing a deal because of Napoli's financial demands.
The Italian club were said to have wanted more than £100 million for his services, a figure considered beyond the Gunners' budget at the time.
The Telegraph also reported that Arsenal held discussions with Galatasaray over a possible swap deal during the summer transfer window, with Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri understood to have attracted the Turkish club's interest.
However, that option is no longer available in the same form. Martinelli has joined Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal in a reported £55.7 million transfer, while Nwaneri has moved to Borussia Dortmund on loan for the 2026/27 season.
Despite those developments, Arsenal's interest in strengthening their attacking options could keep Osimhen on their radar ahead of the January transfer window.
Viktor Gyökeres has yet to consistently reach his best goalscoring form this season, while Kai Havertz continues to struggle with injuries.
Those circumstances could encourage Mikel Arteta to consider additional attacking reinforcements if suitable opportunities emerge.
Osimhen's reduced market valuation could make him a more realistic target, although no fresh agreement or confirmed transfer approach has been established.
