According to a post shared by Fabrizio Romano on X on Saturday, October 31, 2026, Xabi Alonso has praised Estevão for his impressive performance, describing the Brazilian teenager's display as exactly the kind of response he wanted to see from a player seeking more opportunities at Chelsea.

The Blues manager expressed his satisfaction with the youngster's attitude and commitment, pointing out that his hard work had demonstrated why he deserves greater involvement in the first team.

“I am very happy with Estevão! This was the best response to show that he deserves more. He worked so hard, I’m happy,” Alonso stated.

The Spanish manager's comments emphasise the significance of Estevão's determination and willingness to work hard to earn the coaching staff's confidence. His recognition also shows that the teenager's contribution was valued beyond his natural attacking talent.

Estevão has generated considerable excitement since making his move to European football, with his creativity, technical ability and attacking qualities making him one of Brazil's brightest emerging prospects.

Despite his enormous potential, establishing himself at a club competing at the highest level requires consistency, discipline and a strong understanding of the manager's tactical expectations.

Young players must demonstrate their readiness not only during matches but also through their commitment on the training ground and their ability to contribute effectively to the team's overall approach.

Alonso's latest assessment suggests that Estevão is moving in the right direction and has successfully used his recent performance to make a positive impression.

By publicly acknowledging that the youngster deserves more playing time, the Chelsea manager has indicated that he is pleased with the progress and determination the Brazilian has displayed.

Receiving such recognition from the manager could prove significant for Estevão, particularly as he competes with several established players for a place in Chelsea's starting lineup.

Alonso's words provide the teenager with additional motivation to continue working hard and demonstrate that he can be trusted with greater responsibility.

While the manager stopped short of confirming whether Estevão would receive more starts or increased minutes in upcoming fixtures, he made it clear that the youngster's efforts had not gone unnoticed.

The Brazilian will now be expected to maintain his impressive attitude, build on his recent display and continue working towards becoming a more regular member of Alonso's team.
