According to a report by BBC Sport on Thursday, October 29, 2026, Manchester City Women were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against Paris Saint-Germain Women in their UEFA Women's Champions League clash.
Both teams struggled to find a breakthrough during the first half, with the game remaining goalless when the referee blew for half-time after four minutes of added time. Manchester City tried to make good use of their home advantage, but PSG remained organised and prevented the hosts from taking control of the contest.
The second half continued in a similar manner, with both sides making substitutions as they searched for a goal that could change the outcome of the match. City introduced Mary Fowler in the 62nd minute, while Niamh Charles and Iman Beney also came on to help the hosts improve their performance.
PSG also made changes as the visitors looked to create more problems for City's defence, but neither team managed to break the deadlock until the closing stages of the encounter.
Manchester City finally took the lead in the 85th minute when Khadija Shaw confidently converted a penalty, putting the hosts in a strong position to secure victory after a closely contested game.
However, their advantage lasted only three minutes as PSG fought back to level the score in the 88th minute. Tara Elimbi found the back of the net after receiving an assist from Griedge Mbock Bathy Nka, leaving City with little time to respond before the final whistle.
The late equaliser proved costly for Manchester City, who had looked set to take maximum points from the encounter, while PSG showed determination to leave Manchester with something from the match.
Following the draw, Manchester City Women moved to ninth position with three points, while Paris Saint-Germain Women climbed to sixth place with five points in the UEFA Women's Champions League table.
