JOSHUA ZIRKZEE embraced Diogo Dalot warmly after the Old Trafford crowd showed their appreciation as he left the field.

The Red Devils found themselves two goals down within a mere four minutes due to surprising early strikes from Alysson and Nicholas Jackson.

Bruno Fernandes reduced the deficit with a penalty before Youri Tielemans equalized for the hosts.

After halftime, John McGinn converted Villa’s penalty, but Leon Goretzka quickly restored their two-goal advantage.

While United delivered an entertaining display, fans were left feeling dizzy from the exhilarating ups and downs.

They made sure to express their feelings toward Dalot, who made way for Patrick Dorgu.

As the number of the Portugal international was displayed on the official’s board, the crowd erupted in cheers, forming a tunnel of sound as he made his way to the bench.

Ascending the steps to join his teammates, Zirkzee made sure Dalot knew he wasn’t alone in the spotlight.

After Dalot’s substitution, United had to wait until injury time for a dramatic conclusion.

Zirkzee’s kind gesture led to a crucial goal as Dorgu, who stepped in for Dalot, brought the team level.

The 4-4 draw may suffice to keep Michael Carrick in charge for now, as he manages a United team struggling with just one league win this season, placing them in 18th position.

Meanwhile, Unai Emery was visibly frustrated on the sidelines, questioning how the Villans managed to squander two separate two-goal leads.

Both teams will have ample time to reflect on their blunders as they head into the international break, with United in 18th and Villa in 10th.

The Red Devils will next face Liverpool, whether with their current manager or not, before heading to Sporting for their Champions League clash.

Villa, on the other hand, will host Sunderland, who defeated Chelsea this weekend, before traveling to Turkey to take on Galatasaray.
