Premier League Trio Scout Galatasaray Midfielder Aleksey Batrakov

Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have stepped up their pursuit of Galatasaray midfielder Aleksey Batrakov, a teammate of Victor Osimhen.

Representatives from all three Premier League sides were reportedly in Istanbul on Tuesday to assess the Russian international in person.

Quick facts

  • Batrakov is 21 years old and plays in midfield for Galatasaray.
  • He scored twice in a 2-0 Champions League victory over Stuttgart.
  • He has five goals and three assists from nine Galatasaray appearances this season.
  • His reported release clause is approximately £50 million.
  • His Galatasaray deal runs until 2031.

Batrakov caught the eye during Galatasaray’s 2-0 UEFA Champions League win over Stuttgart, scoring both goals in Istanbul.

The double has further enhanced the 21-year-old’s standing as the January transfer window approaches. His current campaign has produced five goals and three assists across nine matches for the Turkish club.

Manchester City, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Tottenham Hotspur, Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig are also said to be keeping tabs on Batrakov.

Galatasaray are understood to have inserted a release clause of about £50 million into his contract, which is not due to end until 2031.
