Al Nassr FC are gearing up for their face-off against Al Wasl for their third group stage fixture of the AFC Champions League Elite 2026-27. This will be an interesting outing, taking place at Al-Awwal Park.
After their defeat in their opening game of the Asian Champions League this season, Cristiano Ronaldo and company got back to winning ways with a 3-1 victory against Neftchi Fergana. They will now be keen to extend their positive run of form. Al Nassr have quality players in their squad, and this is going to be a massive advantage for them.
The Ange Postecoglou-led side will be looking to control the game from the start at home and must keep their defences tight.
Al Wasl have faced defeats in both of their first two games of the AFC Champions League Elite this season. In their previous outing, they suffered a 1-3 loss at the hands of Al Ahli. They conceded an early goal and levelled things at the end of the first half.
But the Cheetahs failed to hold the Royals and dropped three points. Being away from home, Rui Vitória’s men are only going to make things tougher for Al Wasl. They need to control the tempo from the beginning, but it will not be an easy task.

The 41-year-old has been one of the main men in the attacking front for Al Nassr. He was one of the goal scorers for his side in the recent 3-1 victory against Al Faisaly in their Saudi Pro League clash. Cristiano Ronaldo will be ready to lead his side once again and is going to be a menace to the opponent’s defence.

Mehdi Taremi will be eager to step up his game so that he can help his side secure their first win in the AFC Champions League Elite 2026-27. He is going to play a crucial role in the final third for Al Wasl. He will be looking to engrave his name on the scoresheet.
The 34-year-old from Iran has scored two goals in four league games, but is yet to score a goal in the Asian competition.
Sultan Al Ghannam is going to sit out for Al Nassr due to an injury. Mohamed Simakan and Kingsley Coman remain in doubt due to their fitness issues.
Al Wasl will be ready with all their squad members fit and ready to be in action.
