Andre Onana Embarrassed as Man Utd Keeper Scores Hilarious Own Goal from Corner Kick

ANDRE ONANA faced yet another challenging moment as the Manchester United reject conceded a goal directly from a CORNER during Trabzonspor’s Conference League match.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper remains under contract with United but is currently in his second season on loan in Turkey.

The Cameroon international could not keep out a corner kick against Finnish side Kuopion Palloseura.

Trabzonspor appeared to be in full control, leading 3-0 just after 47 minutes.

Former Southampton striker Paul Onuachu opened the scoring, with Liverpool icon Mo Salah doubling the advantage just before halftime.

The Egyptian, who recently joined Turkey in the summer after his stint at Anfield, netted his eighth goal of the season in only ten matches.

Franculino Dju added the third goal shortly after the break, seemingly putting the game beyond the hosts’ reach.

However, veteran midfielder Petteri Pennanen revived Kuopion Palloseura’s chances with a lifeline, as Onana mishandled his attempt to clear a corner.

Pennanen swung the ball into the box, but the United loanee leapt and somehow failed to prevent it from crossing the line.

Onana was left on the ground as his teammates walked away dejectedly, before he had to pick himself up and continue playing.

Dju scored his second in stoppage time, as former Bristol City player Gustav Engvall netted a late consolation to end the game at 4-2.

United supporters were quick to take to social media, with one commenting: “We won’t miss this man, even during our worst times.”

Another remarked: “Glad to see he remains an absolute liability.”

A third user simply stated: “One of the most inadequate goalkeepers I have ever seen.”

Onana transferred to United in the summer of 2023 for £47 million from Inter Milan, succeeding David de Gea and reuniting with his former Ajax coach Erik ten Hag.

After making 101 appearances in two seasons under Ten Hag and later Ruben Amorim, his 102nd match for United – a shaky outing in the EFL Cup against Grimsby last August – ultimately resulted in his departure.

Although he did win the FA Cup in 2024, Onana’s tenure at United was largely disappointing.

Senne Lammens was brought in from Royal Antwerp to take his place, and United has certainly not regretted that choice since.
