Real Madrid made it three wins from three games as they defeated RB Leipzig in their latest UEFA Champions League game at the Santiago Bernabeu last night. With this win, the Merengues have climbed to the fourth position on the League Phase table.

While Los Blancos maintained their winning run, the forward Kylian Mbappe also kept up his scoring run in the competition. After scoring in the games against Inter Milan and AS Roma, he again got on the scoresheet, as he scored a beautiful goal to take the scoreline to 3-0 in favor of his team.

As MARCA has reported, the Frenchman also spoke to the media after the match. The Real Madrid star highlighted how important this win can be for his team:

“Every point is important for finishing in the top eight, and this is an important victory.”

When asked if he was feeling confident about facing Barcelona, Mbappe assured that he was focused on the last night’s game:

“We’ve only been thinking about Leipzig.”

The forward wanted to continue pleasing the fans with his performances:

“The Bernabéu wants us to score goals and play attacking football, and we want to please the fans. We try to bring them joy.”

Meanwhile, he was also looking to help his team win with these goals:

“I’m fine. I have to score goals, help the team and make sure we win.”

The Frenchman also had some words of encouragement for Vinicius Junior, who was visibly sad after another underwhelming performance:

“If he’s sad, it’s because it means he wants to give a lot to the team and the fans. He should be proud of who he is.”

Going forward, Kylian Mbappe will be facing an FC Barcelona side against whom he has particularly enjoyed scoring. Hopefully, he will be able to add a few goals in this Sunday’s El Clasico, and will be able to help his team get a win against the Blaugranes.
