Nigeria international Tolu Arokodare delivered a decisive display for Ajax, scoring twice and providing an assist as the Dutch side swept aside hosts FC Midtjylland in the UEFA Conference League.

Arokodare leads Ajax rout

The Super Eagles forward put Ajax ahead after nine minutes, giving the visitors an early advantage in the European encounter.

FC Midtjylland responded through fellow Nigerian forward Friday Etim, whose goal brought the home side level at 1-1.

• Arokodare opened the scoring in the ninth minute.
• Etim equalised for Midtjylland to make it 1-1.
• The Ajax striker restored his scoring influence with his second goal in the 52nd minute.
• He then set up another Ajax goal seven minutes later, registering an assist in the 59th minute.

Strong season for Wolves loanee

Arokodare, who is on loan at Ajax from English club Wolves, has now reached 12 goals in all competitions this season.
