Following De Miguel’s passing, the football community in Spain entered a period of mourning.

Players from both teams entered the pitch wearing T-shirts featuring De Miguel’s No. 9 on the back, along with the message “Siempre en nuestro recuerdo,” which translates to “Always in our memory.”
This touching tribute was also displayed on the big screens as the enthusiastic crowd stood up to applaud the sentiment.
The match referee carried a floral wreath onto the pitch, laying it in the center circle as players paused for a moment of silence.
During the televised match, a QR code was shown that directed viewers to a crowdfunding website set up to assist De Miguel’s family.
The match was paused in the ninth minute as players, officials, and fans offered a minute’s applause for De Miguel.
The phrase “Always in our memory” was once again displayed on TV screens, along with the QR code.
A post-mortem examination concluded that De Miguel’s death resulted from “accidental chest trauma.”
The late forward had collided with Andorra goalkeeper Jesus Owono during the final moments of the match on Monday.
Owono received a red card for his challenge, and subsequently, the match was abandoned.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper was left heartbroken by the incident.
He released a statement saying, “These are some of the most difficult days of my life. I am struggling to find the words, and it is very hard for me to comprehend what has happened.
“I am overwhelmed with sorrow over the loss of Jesus. My thoughts are with him, his family, and everyone who cared for him.
“I know there will be many matters to address, and I will navigate whatever comes with utmost respect.
“But at this moment, truly, I can think only of Jesus and the grief we are experiencing.
“Rest in peace, Jesus.”
The Spanish Footballers’ Association (AFE) has committed to supporting Owono through counseling services.
According to The Athletic, a source close to the goalkeeper’s teammate stated: “Owono is devastated, confined to his home and disconnected from the world.
“Right now, he doesn’t even recognize himself.”
