Chiefs Lead DStv Diski Challenge After Winning All Four Opening Matches

The 2026–27 DStv Diski Challenge season got off to a great start for Kaizer Chiefs, who won their first four matches to take a commanding lead and solidify their position as championship contenders.

In the reserve league, the youthful Amakhosi have shown their skill and consistency by collecting 12 points out of a possible 12. The team's play has been outstanding from start to finish, with 12 goals scored and just four goals allowed for a plus-eight goal differential.

Their flawless start is due in large part to their efficient offence and well-organised defence. As they begin their season, the Chiefs will be looking to keep their momentum going after four straight victory.

Providing talented young players with a chance to compete at a high level and maybe win a promotion to the senior squad, the DStv Diski Challenge is still a vital event for talent development. The Chiefs' impressive play will provide hope to fans who are rooting for the club's youth system to produce more starting players.

Nevertheless, there are a number of ambitious clubs who are hell-bent on challenging the Soweto titans for first place.

Second place goes to Sekhukhune United Reserves, who are only a point behind the leaders. With nine points, Golden Arrows U23 are in third place, while AmaZulu Reserves are in fourth place with seven points.

Both Siwelele FC and TS Galaxy Reserves have seven points, putting them in joint fifth and sixth place, respectively. With six points after three games, Mamelodi Sundowns Reserves are in seventh place and have a chance to move up the rankings as the season continues.

The Orlando Pirates, who won it all last season, are in seventh place with four points. The Buccaneers will be dead set on reviving their championship defence and improving their record before the gap between them and the top clubs becomes any wider.

The Chiefs may have gotten off to a fast start, but the season is still young. If they want to win the championship at the end of the season, they must be consistent.

Although Amakhosi are currently leading the league, they will face stiff competition in the next weeks from teams like Sundowns, Sekhukhune United, Golden Arrows, and Pirates.
