South Africa to the world! Bafana Bafana forward Relebohile Mofokeng has once again proved why he is one of the hottest South African exports in Europe.

The 22-year-old Orlando Pirates product, who just celebrated his 22nd birthday on Saturday, inspired Royale Union Saint-Gilloise to a stunning comeback victory over Cercle Brugge in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League on Sunday night, 25 October 2026.

Union were dead and buried. Trailing 0-1 at halftime through Steve Ngoura's penalty, then 0-2 in the 48th minute after Massire Sylla's own goal, the Stade Joseph Marien was silent.

But the comeback started. Raul Florucz made it 1-2 in the 49th minute. Sylla redeemed himself with a header to make it 2-2 in the 62nd minute. Then Emmanuel Kakou's own goal made it 3-2 to Union in the 74th minute.

And then — our boy.

80' — MOFOKENG!

Louis Patris swung in a perfect cross and Relebohile Mofokeng rose highest to head it home beautifully to make it 4-2. That is his fifth league goal of the season. The Royale Union official page posted: "Rele pour le 4-2!" — that post got 29K likes in 7 hours, showing how much Mzansi loves him.

It didn't end there.

90+1' — MOFOKENG THE PROVIDER!

Mofokeng turned provider, assisting Kevin Rodriguez with a perfect header assist for the 5-2 final score.

Full time: Union Saint-Gilloise 5-2 Cercle Brugge. Union moves to third place with 23 points from nine games, just two points behind leaders Gent.

NUMBERS DON'T LIE:

According to Dailysports and iDiski Times, Mofokeng now has:

5 goals + 3 assists in 14 appearances in all competitions this season — 8 goal contributions already. He started and finished the match, playing 90 minutes as Union avoided their first league defeat of the season.

This comes just weeks after he registered an assist in the Europa League and inspired Union into the Belgian Cup Round of 16.

For Mofokeng, this European season is becoming his breakthrough. Every game he is strengthening his place in Union's lineup. And for Bafana coach Hugo Broos, this is great news ahead of upcoming national team duties.

From Orlando Pirates to Belgium — President Yama2k is making South Africa proud.

Mzansi, let's show him love! Drop a 🇿🇦 in comments!
