Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya Leads the Betway Premiership Charts as Moremi Closes In

The 2026/27 Betway Premiership season has produced some impressive performances in front of goal, with Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya of AmaZulu leading the scoring charts after the opening rounds of the campaign. Several players have already demonstrated their attacking quality, giving supporters plenty to follow as the competition continues.

Ngwenya currently occupies the top position with eight goals in eight appearances for AmaZulu. His excellent scoring record has made him one of the standout performers of the season so far. Averaging a goal per appearance, the AmaZulu forward has established himself as the leading scorer and will be eager to maintain his impressive form in the matches ahead.

Richards Bay striker Nqaba Xulu sits second on the list with five goals from eight appearances. Although he remains three goals behind Ngwenya, his contributions have placed him among the most productive forwards in the league. Xulu will be hoping to increase his tally and challenge for the Golden Boot as the season progresses.

TS Galaxy's Victor Letsoalo occupies third place, having registered four goals in eight appearances. His performances have helped him remain among the leading scorers in the division. With more fixtures to come, Letsoalo has an opportunity to improve his numbers and move closer to the leading position.

Orlando Pirates forward Tshepang Moremi has also scored four goals, but he has achieved that total in just six appearances. His scoring record gives him an impressive goals-per-game ratio compared with several players on the list. If he maintains this consistency and continues receiving opportunities, Moremi could become a serious contender in the race for the league's top scorer award.

The current standings highlight the contributions of players from AmaZulu, Richards Bay, TS Galaxy and Orlando Pirates. While Ngwenya enjoys a comfortable early lead, the campaign remains far from over, leaving enough time for other attacking players to close the gap.

For supporters, the battle for the Golden Boot promises to be an interesting storyline throughout the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season. Ngwenya will aim to protect his advantage, while Xulu, Letsoalo and Moremi will be determined to improve their goal totals as the competition intensifies.

As the season unfolds, consistency, fitness and opportunities in front of goal could determine who eventually finishes at the top of the scoring charts.
