Mandla Ncikazi has spoken publicly for the first time since departing Orlando Pirates and taking up a new challenge as the head coach of Lamontville Golden Arrows.
The experienced South African tactician has returned to familiar surroundings after being appointed to lead the Durban-based club. His appointment marks a new chapter in his coaching career as he prepares to guide Arrows through the challenges of domestic football.
Ncikazi previously worked at Golden Arrows before joining Orlando Pirates, where he served as part of the technical team. His experience at one of the country's biggest clubs provided him with valuable exposure to the demands and expectations of competing at the highest level.
Despite moving on from the Soweto giants, Ncikazi has made it clear that he remains appreciative of the opportunities he received from his former employers.
"I'm still grateful to my previous employers," Ncikazi said, expressing his appreciation following his departure from Pirates.
His comments reflect a respectful attitude towards the club where he spent an important period of his coaching journey.
Attention will now turn to his work at Golden Arrows, where supporters will hope his knowledge of the club and experience in the Premier Soccer League can help the team achieve its ambitions.
Ncikazi faces the task of building a competitive side and delivering consistent performances as he begins his latest coaching assignment.
