Wandile Dube, a defender for Sundowns, is committed to proving his value after his recent transfer to the Tshwane club, despite facing skepticism from some. He has encountered criticism about his move to Mamelodi Sundowns, but he is focused on his career and aims to not let negative views shake his confidence. Dube is convinced that dedication and persistence will allow him to showcase his skills and gain the trust of fans.

In an interview on Prime Time Sports on Ukhozi FM, Dube addressed the backlash regarding his transfer, emphasizing that he won’t let external opinions derail his journey.

"That's not something I dwell on because people can be skeptical," Dube said during the show, as translated from Zulu.

His remarks illustrate his commitment to his goals as he strives to establish himself at one of South Africa's premier football clubs. Instead of being sidetracked by criticism, he is focused on leveraging the opportunity he has received.

Dube also shared that he thoughtfully considered his choice to join the Tshwane giants, recognizing that playing for a high-expectation club calls for patience, commitment, and consistent performances.

"Making this choice, I reflected on the importance of not listening to what others say."

He reached out to Sundowns supporters, urging them to keep backing the team while reassuring them that he is ready to wait for his chance to shine on the field.

"I encourage the supporters to keep supporting us and to expect me to get my opportunity."

His message underscores his self-assurance and readiness to work diligently until he can make a meaningful contribution to the team. Dube acknowledges that earning consistent playtime at Sundowns will necessitate determination and strong displays whenever he gets the chance.

He concluded with a pledge to show why the club signed him, hoping to reward fans for their patience and backing.

"I will demonstrate why the club brought me here, and I promise to bring them joy."

Now, the challenge for Dube is to translate his words into action and prove that Sundowns made a wise choice by bringing him into the squad.
