“Jerry Sikhosana Must Fokof With His Jealousy” Orlando Pirates Supporter Fires Back

An Orlando Pirates supporter has expressed happiness with the club’s reported decision to stand firm amid the ongoing debate involving former striker Jerry Sikhosana, insisting that respect for the club should be a priority for anyone who wants to be recognised as one of its legends.

The supporter believes Sikhosana must accept the consequences of his remarks about the Buccaneers, particularly his reported comments suggesting that Orlando Pirates did not deserve to win the league. According to the supporter, such statements were disrespectful to a club with a rich history and a passionate fan base that takes pride in its achievements.

The supporter also questioned why Sikhosana would expect to receive recognition from Orlando Pirates while making comments that could be interpreted as an attack on the club. The issue has become a source of frustration for some supporters, who believe that loyalty and respect should go hand in hand with any association with the team.

In a strongly worded message, the supporter made it clear that the disagreement with Sikhosana was not something that would easily disappear. The supporter also pointed to Sikhosana’s openly expressed support for Kaizer Chiefs as a factor contributing to the tension, although supporting a rival club does not automatically mean someone has bad intentions towards Orlando Pirates.

"We as Orlando Pirates fans and supporters have a beef with you, and we are glad the club chose us over you in this beef," the supporter stated.

The message continued with an even stronger response to the former Pirates striker, with the supporter declaring that his recognition as an Orlando Pirates legend had effectively been withdrawn from June 2026.

"Jerry Sikhosana must fokof with his jealousy. From June 2026, we cancelled him as an Orlando Pirates legend. That recognition is too valuable to be given to him while he is disrespecting our mighty club," the supporter added.

The comments reflect the emotions surrounding football rivalries in South Africa, where supporters often view their clubs as more than sporting institutions. For many Orlando Pirates fans, the team's history, achievements and reputation are deeply important, making criticism from former players particularly sensitive.

The supporter also insisted that respect must work both ways, arguing that nobody should expect admiration from the club's supporters while making remarks they consider disrespectful.

"We are Orlando Pirates. We never forgive; we deal with the problem decisively. Once you disrespect us, you will face the consequences forever, not just for a moment," the supporter declared.

Although the message reflects the anger of an individual supporter rather than an official club position, it highlights the strength of feeling among fans who believe loyalty to Orlando Pirates should be accompanied by mutual respect.

For the supporter, the message is simple: recognition must be earned, and respect for the badge matters.
