Why Tim Sukazi Says Kaizer Chiefs Put R2 From Every Packet Towards New Players

Kaizer Chiefs striker Wandile Duba has earned praise from former Amakhosi winger and iDiski TV analyst Junior Khanye following his impressive performance against TS Galaxy in the Carling Knockout Cup.

The 22-year-old forward played a decisive role in Chiefs’ convincing 3-0 victory at FNB Stadium on Tuesday, scoring all three goals in the second half to secure the club’s place in the quarter-finals.

Duba’s hat-trick also took his goal tally to six across all competitions this season, strengthening his position as an important attacking option for the Soweto giants.

Speaking on iDiski TV, Khanye praised the young striker’s finishing ability, determination and confidence in front of goal. He believes Duba possesses qualities that could help him develop into a top striker for Kaizer Chiefs if he can maintain his current form.

Khanye described Duba as the difference-maker against TS Galaxy, highlighting his never-give-up attitude and ability to make the most of scoring opportunities.

However, the former Chiefs winger also cautioned the youngster about his celebrations, explaining that excessive celebrations could attract criticism if he goes several matches without scoring.

Khanye believes Duba should remain focused on delivering results rather than giving critics reasons to question his attitude during difficult periods.

Although he questioned whether Duba is the most technically gifted striker, Khanye acknowledged his intelligent movement, strength on the ball and ability to exploit defensive mistakes. These qualities could make him a valuable attacking weapon for Amakhosi as the season progresses.

Meanwhile, TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi reportedly made humorous remarks about Kaizer Chiefs’ potato chips business, suggesting that profits from the product contribute towards player recruitment. He claimed that R2 from every packet sold is allocated to transfers and linked the alleged arrangement to the club’s preference for paying transfer fees in instalments. These claims should be independently verified before being presented as established facts.

For Chiefs supporters, Duba’s hat-trick offers encouraging signs as the club continues its cup campaign. However, as Khanye stressed, consistency will be essential if the young forward wants to establish himself as one of the club’s leading goalscorers.

Can Wandile Duba maintain this scoring form and become Kaizer Chiefs’ dependable striker this season? Fans will be watching closely as Amakhosi prepare for their next challenge.
