Fernando Da Cruz: “There is no issue with Mshini”

Kaizer Chiefs coach Fernando Da Cruz has commented on Nkosingiphile Ngcobo's lack of playing time, asserting that there are no issues with the midfielder and encouraging him to keep putting in effort to earn more chances.

Ngcobo, known as Mshini, has had difficulty securing consistent playing time with Amakhosi, raising questions about his place in the team. However, Da Cruz has rejected any notions of a problem regarding the player, indicating that Ngcobo’s opportunities will depend on his continued hard work.

"There is no problem with Mshini. He just needs to keep working hard. If he maintains this effort, he can expect more chances, like he had against Golden Arrows in the MTN8 Cup," Da Cruz stated.

The coach's remarks suggest that Ngcobo is still in the mix but must show he is ready to contribute. Instead of implying that the midfielder has fallen out of favor for personal reasons, Da Cruz emphasized the importance of diligence in earning playing time.

Mentioning the MTN8 Cup match against Golden Arrows highlights that Ngcobo has already had playing opportunities. His task now is to build on these moments and prove to the coaching staff that he deserves more frequent involvement.

Competition for positions is crucial at Kaizer Chiefs, requiring players to demonstrate their worth as the coaches make selections. For Ngcobo, maintaining consistency in training and maximizing his opportunities could enhance his chances.

Da Cruz’s comments may comfort fans worried about the midfielder’s reduced role, as he has made it clear that there are no underlying issues between them.

Ngcobo is now expected to remain patient and continue working towards securing more playing time. How he capitalizes on future opportunities will be vital as Chiefs approach their next matches.

Ultimately, Da Cruz's message is clear: the midfielder must persist in his hard work to increase his participation in the team.
