PIRATES BOMBSHELL Ouaddou Sends Strong Message to Every Bucs Player Ahead of Soweto Derby

Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has sent a firm message to his players ahead of Saturday’s highly anticipated Soweto Derby against Kaizer Chiefs, emphasising the importance of discipline, commitment and accountability when representing the Buccaneers.

With the two Soweto giants preparing for another fierce encounter, Ouaddou wants his players to understand that wearing the famous black-and-white jersey comes with enormous responsibility. The Pirates coach expects every member of his squad to demonstrate determination, mental strength and a willingness to fight for the club throughout the match.

The Soweto Derby is one of South African football’s biggest occasions, with both clubs competing not only for valuable league points but also for bragging rights and the pride of their passionate supporters.

Ouaddou’s message highlights his expectations of a team that must remain united and focused regardless of the pressure surrounding the fixture. His approach also reinforces the idea that no player should consider himself more important than the collective objectives of Orlando Pirates.

For the Buccaneers, the encounter against Kaizer Chiefs will demand concentration, tactical discipline and composure. Derby matches are frequently decided by small details, meaning defensive mistakes, missed opportunities and lapses in communication could prove costly.

The Pirates players will therefore need to balance their emotions with the tactical responsibilities assigned to them by their coach. Ouaddou will expect his team to remain organised, work hard for one another and respond positively when faced with difficult moments.

Meanwhile, Pirates supporters will be hoping the coach’s demands inspire a convincing performance against their traditional rivals. The pressure will be on the players to translate their preparations into action when they step onto the pitch.

Saturday’s showdown will ultimately provide an opportunity for Orlando Pirates to demonstrate their determination and collective strength. With expectations high, Ouaddou’s message is clear: every player must take responsibility and give everything for the badge.
